One of the fun vendors of cool folk art, other art and antiques we met at the Oronoco Gold Rush was van Deest Antiques & Art of Cedar Rapids, Iowa!
Tom and Paula had an eclectic spot, with neat collectibles from several periods, in wood, canvas and metal!
This one was a carnival game refugee!
Among the treasures: A trove of factory baby doll head molds!
We saw beautiful quilts...
...and this sign, that could be read two ways. On one side, it read Elgin Watches.
On the other, it said Diamonds and Jewelry. Very neat!
Junk Bonanza vendor Sara Smith of s.a.r.a. Salvaged and Rescued Art, in Chaska, Minn., bought one of the doll head molds from the van Deests as an anniversary present for herself, She was one of many admirers of the van Deests' offerings!
What have you found lately that you can't live without?!!
